About me

In translation and localization good knowledge of the source and the target culture is essential. My experience with the Quebecker and North-American context comes from the four years of studying and living in Canada. On the other hand I have extensive understanding of Eastern Europe, from which I originally come from.

I have two university degrees, as well as experience in translation into French. I have used French as a work language in most of the positions I occupied. I am also qualified to translate to and from Bulgarian, my mother tongue.

During my study at the University of Montreal I became interested in localization and its specific requirements, and I went on to take courses focusing on CAT and localization tools for websites and software.

So, I believe that my competence and experience would be useful for the projects involving customers from Europe or North America, because of my proficiency in several languages, experience with CAT and localization tools, as well good knowledge of the cultures themselves.
